At Sealy, we want to make ownership of a RightTouch as easy and convenient as possible. That’s why we set up your RightTouch in your home for you. However, in the event that you ever need to re-assemble your RightTouch, these easy online instructions and video below will come in handy.
Setting up your RightTouch
Before you begin
Unpack box spring and position on bed rails or on the bed frame you plan to use for your new Sealy Air Bed. Unpack all of the components prior to starting assembly.
Mattress Assembly
Place the long set of edge supports on the box spring or floor with the webbing between the supports on the bottom. This set of supports is used for the sides of the mattress. Place the second set of edge supports along the head and foot of the bed. The edge support that has the half-moon cutout should be positioned at the head of the bed. The edge supports are held together by webbing which creates a smooth, even transition from one air chamber to another.
Next, place the air chamber unit inside of the edge support system. The chamber should be placed with the hoses at the head of the bed and bottom side down. Each chamber is baffled which eliminates shifting during movement. The web material that holds the two chambers together should be on the top. Run the hoses through the half-moon cutout on the edge support located at the head of the bed.
Connecting pump and hoses
Locate the pump behind the head of the bed. Hoses can be connected quickly to the Air Bed pump by a push-and-turn quick connect mechanism. The hose connections are color-coded. The black color-coded hose should be connected to corresponding black connection on the pump and the white color-coded hose should be connected to corresponding white connection. Once each hose is connected, plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
Plug each remote into the outlets on the pump. Inflate each side of the mattress completely by holding the firm button down on the remote until the display reads 0.50 PSI. For safety reasons, the pump will turn off after one minute of operation. Simply release and re-press the firm button to complete the fill process. Disconnect each of the hoses from the pump. The air will remain in the air chambers. Note: Only one chamber can be filled at a time.
Install cover
Unzip the bottom filler cloth material from the cover and set aside.
Place upholstered layer insert into cavity, convoluted (bumpy) side up. Then, place cover on top of bed/quilt with the label at the foot of the bed. The quilted fabric must face up. Starting at the bottom, left corner of the bed pull the cover over the corner of the edge supports, aligning the edged of the taped bead with the corner. Repeat with the opposite corner (right, head of bed). Repeat with the bottom, right hand corner of the bed. Repeat with the top, left corner of the bed.
Flip bed over using handles on either side of your new Air Bed. Slide the hoses through the bottom filler cloth material, making sure that the zipper is facing up. Zip the filler cloth material around the quilter cover.
Flip the mattress over and align it on the box spring. Make sure that the tape lines that join the border and quilt are aligned with the top edge of the edge support system. If the mattress is not aligned properly, simply grab the tape line and adjust by gently shaking the mattress.
Reconnect the hoses to the pump using the appropriate color-coded quick connects.
